General Questions

What types of charters are offered?

Suncat Malta Ltd offers Private Day Charters, Private Sunset Charters, and Overnight Charters. Each type of charter comes with unique features to provide a memorable experience tailored to your preferences.

All charters include a professional skipper, unlimited mineral water, two stand-up paddleboards, snorkelling gear, a sound system, onboard amenities, post-cleaning, fuel, and all relevant taxes.

Our itineraries are fully customised based on client preferences. Our experienced skippers can suggest prime spots around the Maltese Islands, including hidden lagoons and stunning anchorages, to ensure a safe and unforgettable journey.

Day Charters

What time does the day charter start and end?

Day Charters typically run from 10:00 to 18:00. However, we offer flexible timing to suit your needs—just let us know your preferred schedule.

You are kindly requested to arrive 15 minutes before departure to allow time to settle your belongings. Our skipper will conduct a safety briefing before we head out.

For a comfortable experience, we recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, swimwear, a towel, food & drinks, a change of clothes, and Camera to capture lasting memories

Evening Charters

What times does the evening charter start and end?

Evening Charters generally start at 19:00 and conclude at 23:00, offering a magical setting under the night sky.

Regrettably, we are unable to adjust the start time, as it would overlap with the day charter schedule.

Absolutely! Our evening charters provide a perfect backdrop for proposals, anniversaries, and romantic celebrations.

Overnight Charters

How long can I book an overnight charter?

Overnight charters are available for multiple nights based on availability. Minimum 2 days 1 night and clients can book as long as they want.

Guests have access to fully stocked kitchen amenities, including dinnerware, cookware, fresh water, and essential comforts for an extended stay onboard.

Weather and Seasonality

What happens if weather conditions do not permit sailing on the charter day?

In the event of unfavourable weather, we will reschedule your charter to the next available date at no extra charge. Alternatively, a full refund of the deposit will be issued.

Yes, our peak season runs from 1st May to 30th September, with high demand for weekends. We recommend booking in advance during these months to secure your preferred yacht.

Booking and Reservations

How far in advance should I book a yacht charter?

For the best availability, we suggest booking at least one month in advance, especially during peak season.

Absolutely. We can arrange multiple boats for larger groups or special events. Contact us for bespoke arrangements.

Payments and Cancellations

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, Revolut, direct bank transfer, and credit card payments.

Simply visit our booking platform, select your preferred vessel, date, and charter type, and follow the prompts to complete your booking. 

Our cancellation policy varies by notice period.

  • 30+ days prior: Full refund of the deposit.
  • 15+ days prior: 50% refund of the deposit.
  • Less than 7 days prior: No refund of the deposit. 

Food and Beverages

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own refreshments or opt for our catering packages. 

Yes, we offer a range of catering options, from light menus to BBQs and vegan selections. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements, and we’ll be happy to accommodate.

Yes, the BBQ grill is available at an additional cost. Please contact us for a quote.

Yes, we provide a large cooler. You may also bring additional medium-sized coolers if needed. Refrigerators are also available onboard.

Kindly note clients are required to bring ice for the coolers or order from us at least a day before

Yes, moderate alcohol consumption is allowed. As we operate a moving vessel, we ask guests to drink responsibly and remain aware of their surroundings.

Safety and Precautions

What safety measures are in place?

Our boats are fully equipped with life jackets, first aid kits, life rafts, and other safety essentials. All skippers are trained in safety procedures to ensure a secure experience. We accept cash, Revolut, direct bank transfer, and credit card payments.

What are the deposit terms for booking a charter?

We require a 25% deposit to secure your booking with Suncat Malta Charters.

Yes, our boats have a sound system with Bluetooth connectivity.

Yes, snorkelling gear is available onboard. You’re also welcome to bring your own if preferred.

Absolutely! We offer custom setups and decorations for birthdays, bachelorette parties, anniversaries, and corporate gatherings. Let us know your needs, and we’ll make your event memorable.

We can drop you off at Mġarr Harbour in Gozo, where you’ll have a variety of restaurants to choose from in the area or in the north part of Malta which is conveniently located close to Comino island.

Yes, children of all ages are welcome. The charterer shall assume full responsibility for their safety, behaviour, and entertainment.

Our catamarans are stable in sheltered waters, reducing the likelihood of seasickness. However, seasickness remedies are available if needed.

While our boats are fully insured, we recommend having personal travel insurance.

Small pets are allowed on board

Smoking is only permitted on deck. Smoking is strictly prohibited in cabins and saloon areas for safety reasons.
